Seamus Eddy
Dr. Eddy began in education by teaching high school social studies and business classes in
Gainesville, Florida. After graduating from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a
Doctorate of Education in Curriculum & Instruction, he taught special education classes for the
Edgewood Center for Children and Families in San Francisco and worked as the Principal for
Pine Hill School in San Jose. He then became an Assistant Principal for Tokay High School in
Lodi Unified for over 9 years and then went to oversee Gold Strike Continuation School and
Calaveras High School as Assistant Principal in Calaveras Unified.
In his free time, Dr. Eddy enjoys spending time with his twin sons, Connor and Jude, playing golf
and hunting. He is very excited to meet all the staff and students at El Portal Middle School and
is looking forward to leading our team to a successful new year.
